Program type: Inpatient - Residential Child Care Facility

Description: Shelterwood is a Christian residential care facility dedicated to restoring families who are struggling with the difficulties of raising a teenager. Shelterwood has provided therapeutic care and educational advancement for hundreds of teens over the course of the past twenty-six years. Parents are provided with family therapy and will receive regular performance updates. The average length of stay at Shelterwood is eleven months, but progress through the program will be determined by the child's own effort to make the appropriate changes in his or her life.

One parents says, "Our son is doing great…it has been an incredible transformation… I respect him as much as any man in my life… it is not something I would ever say without meaning it... he has truly earned my admiration... thank you for putting such a caring team of bigs, counselors, teachers and staff at SW…SW has saved our family."
